Underwire Film Festival (2019)

Event identity and supporting materials (including festival brochure, posters and web banners) for the Underwire Film Festival, using existing brand guidelines.

Underwire is The UK's largest film festival celebrating female talent across the crafts and celebrated it’s 10th Anniversary in 2019. Many of the films this year had a digital focus; I incorporated a double exposure image treatment and a half-tone pattern across still imagery to encompass this theme. The graphic shapes bring a bold playfulness which add interest and a celebratory feeling across the spreads. The colours are confident and unforgiving, portraying the characters in the various films.

Using the theme of change and progression, I created a collage of images to create a new narrative across the spreads. The striking colours are powerful and eye-catching and help to lead the viewer through the content.

Using the theme of unity, I created modern layouts where elements interact and work together, creating a diverse and versatile identity. The bold colours depict both stereotypical masculine and feminine connotations and celebrate the unison and the statement of the festival.
